Thats right…. we went against the flow and rode Falcon Trail backwards (Counter clockwise) and it was great. It was like a whole new ride!
We were planning on riding Falcon trail, but because Dale is on the the terror watch and could not get into the Academy, we decided to ride Limbaugh. They have redone the drop into the canyon and made itr a lot nicer. We also took the new trail out on the front side….. fun ride!
It has a good mix of aerobic, technical uphill, technical downhill and several large stream crossings.

Well due to a rain delay on Tuesday we rode Mount Herman fire trails on Thursday this week. Josh joined us this week and we had a fun 1.5 hour ride. We did the typical loop that started on the South and ended on the North end.
Ute was a great ride and there were no stitches this time. The park was faily muddy….. but mud is better than sand. 5 guys on this ride.
Tuesday 5/26/09

Well we officially kicked off the season. Mason, Alan and I hit the Greenland loop and Spruce Mountain. It was a very fun LONG ride that deserves to be the first ride of the season. There was nothing technical about the ride, but its great to get in shape! According to Alans computer it was about a 26 mile ride, but my topo program shows that it was about 17 miles…. all I know is I am still sore.
Tires down 5:15 pm
Directions :
I-25 north to County Line.
Go west (Left) on County Line towards Palmer Lake.
Parking Lot on Right a few miles down.
For Mason and Alan… it does look like the service road on Spuce Mountain dumps onto hwy105… next time

Well we finished off the season with Captin Jacks and the Chutes. There were seven of us and no injuries. It was a great ride to end the season! We finished the day with Lunch at Front Range BBQ. The only problem is they are predicting great weather again next weekend…. maybe we will just have to have yet another “Last Ride”

Although we have one more “Year end bash” trip planned I thought I would sum up the “official” season.

Well I wussed out this week but the gang repeated the fire trail route from a few weeks ago. From my understanding Dale had a nice wreck and had a strange urge to protect his face so he opted for a Penguin Dive to the rocks below. Nice!
